Why Hello! I'm Bristee and I'm the photographer behind Beauty Unveiled Photography.
I'm in love with the most amazing man you could ever dream up, and every day I get to wake up and realize that I really do get the privilege of falling more in love with him each and every day. I love garage sells, resell shops and goodwill. The thought of waking up in the mornings and sitting on a porch drinking coffee absolutely inspires me, although I can never find the will-power to wake up before 10:30 unless I have an obligation to. I hate working out, love long drives, and am completely infatuated with trees! I have a tattoo and I don't travel much at all, although it's one thing I would LOVE to do.
I fell in love with taking pictures while I was in high school, but never had the guts to actually go out there and do it. I spent two years just looking at different photography blogs online, until I finally saved up enough money to buy my own little Canon Rebel XS and 18-55mm lens. I have quickly outgrown my little starter camera and lens, but unfortunately my budget hasn't. (Ah, the life of a college student). But I hope to be getting a better set in a year or two and then really start to go after this. Until then, I make it work just fine.
Throughout the past year or so, I've gotten the privilege of taking pictures of friends and family. I've learned that I love taking natural, real life pictures. Poses are nice, especially for Seniors, but I love catching the moments in between. The laughing, the sweet looks between couples, and even the fancy shoes that were bought just for the photo shoot (hey, details are extremely important). I love the use of a few props, but I like to capture the naturalness of life. I don't like editing my pictures to make people look like they have nice make-up or have lost a few pounds. Sure, I'll erase a few blemishes, but I leave you as you. I love the freckles and the dimples and the frizzy hair. I love being able to make women feel beautiful and men feel attractive exactly in the skin they are in...without having to change appearances.
And that's what this is all about. Showing the beauty that you all contain. After all, I do believe that we all have a beauty that is just waiting to be unveiled.
With Love,
Bristee
